Building Management Solution
BMS is Schneider electric’s Ecostruxure solution, which consists of software, a server with a database, and smart sensors connected to an internet-capable network. The smart sensors can connect to support infrastructure (i.e. electrical, mechanical, fire, security, and other mining equipment) to gather data, which would have been sent to BMS, where it will be stored in a database.
If a sensor reports data that falls outside pre-defined conditions, the BMS triggers an alarm. Ecostruxure has support for open protocols such as BACNet IP and MSTP, Modbus IP and RTU over a standard Ethernet TCP/IP network and has the following capabilities:
- Event management
- Scheduling and preventative maintenance scheduling
- Generation of reports
- History and trends
- Data integration
- Control of systems
- Fault management and alarming
